COMPETITION RULES 2011-2012
LEAGUES:
These are divided into eight-a-side leagues. In each league teams play each other once with 3 points for a win, 2 points for a draw
and 1 for a defeat.
Places are decided by points scored and then game(s) between the teams. Goal difference or goals scored is not used to determine placings.
These teams may include Year 6 and Year 5 pupils, but not Year 4.
Games will be 20 minutes each way and there will be no offside.
Teachers have a responsibility to inform league organisers of results.
In any League the results of any team which has only played one game will be annulled.
Schools that are having trouble getting another school to fulfil a fixture must inform the League Secretary at the time. He will contact the school and ask for an explanation and if none is forth coming can
award a 1-0 victory.
No School may be awarded more than one 1-0 victory in a season.
U.11 CUP:
Is an eight-a-side competition and will follow the rules above.
It is the responsibility of the home team to arrange the fixture. Any first round game not played b the time of the quarter final draw at the November Committee
Meeting will result in both teams being excluded from the draw, unless contact has been made with the Competition Secretary to explain.
In the event of a draw then five minutes each way extra time will be played.
Teachers are reminded that if the tie is being played after the designated date then a result must be reached; replays are only allowed if the game is played on time.
U.10 CUP:
Is a seven-a-side competition.
Games will be 15 minutes each way with no offside.
The early rounds will be played before autumn half-term in a mini-league format with the winner of each league going into the quarter-final draw.
In all cup competitions it is the responsibility of the teacher of the school drawn at home to arrange the fixture and the teacher of the winning school to inform the appropriate organiser.
GIRLS’ LEAGUE AND CUP:
Same rules as U.10 Cup.
